Mayumi was sitting in a corner of the dark warehouse, she was dressed in black. The only color came from her blond hair and the small screans of her iPod and cell phone. She carried theses things with her everywhere she went. She looked at her phone then turned it off then turned down her iPod, she dint want anyone to find her. She smiled and stood up, then walked around quietly for a little while. She was trying to find the darkest corner that she could. She ran her fingers through her blond hair, she had been bleaching the strands ever since she was fifteen years old. She remembered the day she first dyed it, it had just been a small section but her step-mother had freaked out. After that she did it to make people upset, she giggled at all of the crazy colors she had tried. The pinks, purples, blues, greens and black of course. She finally had come to quite a dark corner so she sat down and turned her iPod back up.
She was listening to Someday You Will Be Loved. This was on of the rare songs on her iPod that dint just scream at you. She was humming along softly and then she pushed back her sleeve. She lightly traced a white line that ran across her whist, it was an old scar but she felt like it had happened yesterday. She closed her green eyes and leaned her head back against the wall. She knew it would flatten the back of her hair but she could fix it if necessary. She continued to hum softly, then tugged her sleeve back down. Her young body was covered in scars, and had been through so much. Being beaten, burned, bruised, raped and abused...Such a small child she had once been. In seventeen years, all this abuse had changed her thats why she was here.
She clicked a button that changed the song, she smiled sadly. It was My Heroine (Acoustic), she began to sing along softly as she felt the warm tears roll down her face. She dug her nails into her thigh, she just pressed harder until it was pain that was making her cry. She began to laugh at that moment, she was just shaking. She wiped her face and opened her eyes and looked into the darkness. She took a deep breath and stood up again. She fixed her hair quickly and figured that she looked cool with black streaks of mascara and eyeliner running down her cheeks. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small shiny object. She held it in her palm, and looked at it. It was a new razor, she had taken apart one that she owned so she had three small blades. She held on in her hand, the other two were in her room. She smiled at it and thought to herself, Should I just do it once more? She heard a small sound and looked up quickly, in her panic she also closed her hand around the blade quite tightly. She felt the sting then smelt the rusty blood, and thought to herself. WELL SHIT! She tryed to keep the blood that she could feel in her hand from drippping on the floor. She shouted into the darkness, "WHO'S THEIR!?!"

MY MIND ISN'T QUITE SURE;;what it has bargained for A cat jumped out at the girl, meowing for food. She was thin from starvation. She sat down in front of the girl, scratching herself because of flea infestation. But with the darkness, the meow was what gave away what that little noise was before. So maybe the girl with the razor blade could be a little more at peace? The cat rubbed against her legs, purring in hopes of food. She was brown with black paws and black tips on her ears. A few black spots on her still couldn't identify the type of cat she was though.
It was the meowing that dragged him here. Craig Jace stood outside the warehouse. He'd rather be anywhere but here. His glasses were left inside and he...well, he was bored beyond belief.
He was originally in his dorm, laying on his bed. It was quiet. No one was there with him. He enjoyed the loneliness. In fact, he was ecstatic about the fact. But, dying for a cigarette. And maybe a bottle of beer. But, he wasn't just laying on his bed for no reason. Oh, no. He was examining his own hand, trying to figure out his next design. Craig, now, Craig was originally reading a dull book. But that was boring him to tears. No one likes boredom tears, right? So he went to his window..which is when his attention span took a turn. Way down this rusty old building he heard a faint meow. And that dragged him to getting outside. Following the sneaky little animal, it dragged him elsewhere.
So, it was the meowing that dragged him here. Craig Jace stood outside the warehouse. He wasn't sure how stable this place was but others have been inside. He was pretty sure his luck wouldn't consist of the dusty thing collapsing. Plus, he wanted to see the cat. No one had to know about his weird love for cats. People could just suppose he was coming in here to do something illegal, not follow a cat. So he entered, looking around. A light shown through towards the direction of the cat.
He took each step carefully, going towards the meowing and slight sound of purrs. Wait, purrs? Why was the feline purring? He paid no attention to the chick standing there. Instead, he went over to the kitty and picked it up. It hissed at first but then purred as he rubbed his hand against it. Staring at the cat, it was like the girl wasn't even there. "Hey, kitty. I bet you're hungry. Want something to eat-" his plan to ignore her had failed. His eyes caught a hold of the blood dripping from her hand.
Why was it he seemed to run into bleeding girls lately? The world may never know. The cat moved her tail back and forth as Craig put her down. He wiped his hands and then stared at her. Yeah, he gave her the look of "are you kidding me?" But, he couldn't help it. "Dude, if you're going to stand there at least make your life worth something and think of a place I can get food for the cat. You don't have to say shit either cause I could really care less for what you've got to say," he blabbered out. CJ figured the girl probably just cut her hand on something and that would explain the tears. Unless she had a hand cutting habit too. But he really didn't want to wish for anything in common with some gothic looking chick.
At least he missed her nonsense calling of asking about who's there.

Mayumi looked down at the cat, it was cute and she dint care that it was a stray. She wanted to keep it and take care of it. She smiled weakly when the cat started to rub agents her. Then her smile got a little bigger when the cat began to purr. She realized that it was the cat coming into the wear house not a person. But she couldn't take back the shout she had let out. She listened to the cat purr, and she began to feel faint. Then she heard more footsteps, and looked up at the person entering the wear house.
She kept her hand closed and she looked at the man standing in front of her. She slowly reached into her pocket and pulled out...five dollars. She looked around silently then opened her mouth to speak. "I...Uh..I um don't have anything with me, just five dollars. You could take it and get the cat some food...Or i could just take care of the cat." She looked at the cat, who was now circling her lags once more. She held her hand out with the five dollars closed in it. "Here go get her some food."
She opened her right hand, the one closed around the razor. It was worse than he had thought, blood was dripping onto the floor and the cat had wandered over to the small puddle on the floor. She tried to shoo the cat away from the puddle but then her eyes were drawn back to the dark red liquid that was covering her hand. The razor had dug in deeper than she had thought and if she removed the small blade the bleeding would get worse. She closed her hand once more hoping he hadn't seen it, or wouldn't care. Please just go away and take care of the cat. She thought to herself. She looked at him and blinked, sucking in a small lungful of air. "Um...Yah get her some food and I will stay here with her until you get back." She tried to sit down but her head began to spin.
Mayumi managed to sit on the floor, and the cat crawled into her lap. She began to pet it with her left hand, as she kept her right hand hidden. She cat began to purr again, as she scratched it behind its ears. "She is quite beautiful isn't she? Now go get her some food please" She looked at the cat as it stood up to try and lick her hand. She pushed the cat away from her wounded hand. Ill just get this taken care of after he comes back with her food. She thought silently looking at the cat. She was trying to keep the throbbing pain out of her expression because she was a master at keeping it out of her voice. That was usually why she never looked at anyone, because she always worried her face would give her feelings away.

MY MIND ISN'T QUITE SURE;;what it has bargained for He was silent as she spoke. He took the money and watched her sit down, the same expression of i don't care. Whenever she opened her hand his eyes slipped down to it. Razor blade. Cutter. Of course. And his luck brought him to this. Fun. He stared at her and then lowered himself to one knee. He looked her in the eyes and held the $5 in front of her face. Craig smirked.
So she wanted him to be some sort of slave and go get the food? He told her to. Not himself. Which meant he wasn't going anywhere. He slowly, and this was definitely slow, ripped the five dollar bill in half. Then, on both knees, he attempted to grab the hand with the razor blade. Hoping to grab a hold of it, he slammed the ripped $5 into her hand, probably pushing the blade in more and smearing blood. But just as quickly as he attempted to do that, he used the half bill to grab the blade. Stupid girl.
"You look like you'll pass out at any moment. About to cut yourself but trying to hide it because I came in? Whatever your issue is, you're here now. That means you need to get over it at the moment. 'Cause you see, i'm not dealing with this bull," he said calmly. You could hear the irritation in his voice clearly. And now, he was going to order her around some more.
"You're going to give the cat a name and once you've stopped bleeding, try going into the kitchen and getting her some tuna," he muttered, examining the blade. Right now, he was being a total controlling hypocrite since he has yet to let go of his own past and problems. But, someone had to have common sense around this asylum. He was treating her poorly, yes, but it was for her own good.

She looked at him, then down at her hand. FUCKING ASS! She thought to herself. She moved the cat and stood up. "No. I only did it because you scared me." She dint understand why she was trying to justify herself to this guy, she dint even know him. She looked around in the dark, she dint know what to do. The bleeding hadn't stopped but instead it got worse. She looked at the cat and thought about a name. "I'm naming her...December." She looked at him for approval about the name. Then looked back at the floor, she shut her right hand tightly. I don't understand why you had to rip my money in half.... Her voice shook, but she wasn't going to let him see her cry. She had sworn that she would never let any man see her cry, it had something to do with her past. God he could have just given it back! I could have used it to buy December something! But now I don't have any fucking money!
She looked at him once more than began to walk toward the door but swayed slightly. She kept walking leaving a slight blood trail, you could hear the dripping if you were quiet enough. "Watch her then...please..." She figured he wasn't going to listen to her, so she just hopped December would stay and wait for her. She just wanted to get away from the angry man ans his terrible temper. She tried to walk faster but she was to tired from blood loss. So she just started to cry as she walked away, they were silent and if one dropped to the floor you might have thought it was blood. She hoped he wasn't watching her leave because then he would see her shoulders shake.
She walked out of the building and started toward the 'place' as she called it. She dint want to call it by its formal name because she believed she had no need to be here. She had stopped crying as she walked inside. {lets just pretend she was inside and got the tuna & cleaned up a little.}
She was walking back toward the wear house. Her right hand was bandaged and the bleeding had stopped. She had taken a little extra time to clean up and fix her hand. In her left hand she had an open can of tuna. She walked inside the wear house, she found December waiting for her. She bent down and set the can on the floor. She wasn't sure if the guy was still inside, but if he was she wasn't paying attention. She just poke out loud to see if he was their. "If your still here then I got her some food. She watched her cat eat and thought to herself, As soon as I get more money i will get you a collar and something to do with the fleas. Then you can come live inside with me if you want. She smiled at December and began to pet her as the cat finished her tuna.

MY MIND ISN'T QUITE SURE;;what it has bargained for He watched her walk away but had heard the shaky-ness in her voice. He didn't mind the name December though, he had no idea why she chose it. He smiled and picked up the cat, wondering how he could help with it. The cat purred as he rubbed his hand against her back once more. December was gentle for a stray. Odd but yet, common when they're hungry. Lucky, the cat didn't look pregnant so the Cutter-Chick shouldn't have a problem with her. Setting her down, he went outside.
Outside, he looked around, adjusting his glasses. He circled the abandoned place once before going back inside and looking at its contents. The cat started to follow him around as he started searching through old boxes and burnt down pieces of wood. It seemed like this place had a history but only a slight one.
The cat returned to its previous spot as he saw Cutter-Chick enter the warehouse. She actually brought back food which meant she was listening to him like a good little girl. Which meant he would finally give her a bit of peace. He hid behind a tall box, listening to her call for him. Peeking out, he noticed more make up that had run down her face. Tears? Oh, scheisse, he actually hoped he didn't do that. Her next act could be suicide knowing his luck. Coming up behind her, he decided to answer her call.
"Good girl. Now, name. So I can stop calling you Cutter Girl in my head," he harshly voiced to her, watching the cat eat. While he was at it, he reached into his pocket and didn't pull it out, but glanced at the thing. Then he took his hand out without the thing. The name was always important to him. It was what identified who you were. Even if it was your nickname, it was still you.

She jumped slightly when she heard his voice behind her. Cutter-Chick! He had been calling her that? She stood up and looked at him, "My name is Mayumi." She blinked once again, then felt December rubbing agents her leg. She bent down and picked her up stroking her fur. December was purring louder now that she had been fed. She looked around quickly then back at him. "What about you...I need something to call you before I make something up myself." She smirked. Now that she wasn't in so much pain she could be slightly more bitchy now. She set down the cat when she meowed. "I don't appreciate you talking to me like I'm three ok."
She shoved her right hand into her pocket, it was empty now without the razor. In her other pocket she had put her cell phone and iPod. She just stared at him with her bright green eyes. At that moment she remembered the makeup on her face. She dint try to wipe it away, because she dint want to make it worse. So she just looked at him then she noticed that he wore glasses. She gave him a slight smile, "Nice glasses. So anyway what are we going to do about December...?" She had waned to call him something rude, but she couldn't think of anything rude to call him. So she just sighed. She looked at the cat once more and let a small smile sit on her face, she was rubbing up agents his leg. Well fuck! It seems like she likes him too... She stopped smiling when she looked back up.
She started to move slightly and realized she was starting to shake. She started to walk away from him only to turn around again and walk back toward him. She was trying to stay warm, the wear house was starting to get very cold and she did not enjoy the cold. She wished she could Take December inside with her, but the cat still had fleas and she was not going to bring them into the 'place'. She just hoped the cat would be fine outside until she could fix the fleas. Then the little kitty would be sleeping inside getting fed everyday. But what if he wanted to take her. He CANT take her! Shes MY cat! Mayumi began to worry and it was plainly visible on her face.

MY MIND ISN'T QUITE SURE;;what it has bargained for He looked at her and licked his lip piercing preparing for his own sarcastic response. She didn't want him talking to her like she was three? Fine. Craig looked her in the eyes. Oh, okay, I apologize. If you're that illiterate I'll talk to you like you're two. Now, no no getting angwy wittle one, he commented, now pulling the item out of his pocket. Hoping he'd be able to leave soon, he watched her walk away and then return. What was the point in that? Didn't she want him to respond to her? She was getting more annoying by the second. At least she complimented him. But she wasn't going to get any sort of nice thing like that out of his mouth.
He rolled his eyes with the expression on her face. Then, he took the item out of his pocket and threw a $10 bill at her face. "Keep the cat, get her some food, and remember that money isn't needed to make her happy. So just focus on food and make everything for December yourself," he sighed, now walking past her. He was about half way to the door when he turned around but he wasn't going to do what she did and go back. He stood there, wishing he could take his last bit of money with him. But he wouldn't.
Yelling across the warehouse now, he decided he might as well be fair. "Nice to meet you, Mayumi! Just call me CJ! I don't want you being some creep and looking up my dorm so CJ should work just fine!" Craig shouted, hoping she actually wouldn't be smart enough to figure out "Craig Jace" and creepy enough to look up where he stayed.
He, unknowingly like Mayumi, was getting cold out here as well. Either it was getting darker or rain was coming and he'd prefer to go with the first one. He looked at her, seeing if she'd give a response for his own amusement or if he was free to leave her and the cat alone.

She looked at the $10 he threw at her. What did he think she needed his money, or even wanted it. She left it on the floor and looked up at him. "Come pick this shit up! I don't want your fucking money!" She picked up December letting the cat keep her somewhat warm. She glared at him form where she stood. I can take car of her with my own money! Then a brilliant idea popped into her head. She set down her cat and picked up the money. She made sure her could hear the money being torn in half. "Their. Now you wont have to walk all the way back over here." She smirked and began to walk toward him.
She wasn't trying to get close to him again, she was just trying to leave. It was cold and she was still shaking. She hoped it would rain, because she loved to watch it rain from her room. She hoped that if it did rain the December would stay dry. She looked back toward the cat but he could see her looking for a place to sleep. She promised herself that she would come back bright and early to feed her again. Then it hit her, if the staff allowed her to she would need to get a job. She had to have money for the vet and for food and maybe a few toys.
As she walked past CJ she stood up straighter. He had hurt her feelings, but he also seemed like an ass. She continued to walk, but also talked to him not caring if he listened or not. "CJ your an ass." She smirked and then left the wear house. When she got outside she looked up into the sky. It was dark and it looked like rain. "Oh please let it rain! Also please keep December dry." She began to make the walk over the grass to the 'place'. She just wanted to be inside before the rain began to come down.

MY MIND ISN'T QUITE SURE;;what it has bargained for
Ohh, what a bitch. That really pissed him off. He could have used that for alcohol, not attempt to do some good and waste it on her! But oh well now. Money wasn't everything. She was gone now and he would wait a few moments to leave after her. That was until it was distant but it was still seen through some of the cracks of the warehouse. A bright light lit the sky as it was a dark blueish purple.
Craig's eyes immediately widened. His heart started to beat fast as the cat meowed behind him. He felt like he was having an asthma attack only he wasn't. Instead he was paralyzed by fear. This astrophobia jack-ass was about to freak. The fear of thunder and lightening wasn't the best for him. But he had to break out of it or else he'd be stuck here when the storm reached here. Where would he go tonight while it stormed? What would he do? He'd need cover. Something to protect him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
He got a quick burst of energy and ran out the doors, bumping into Mayumi on her way inside to the asylum. He bounced back a bit, catching his balance. Craig looked at her, panic clearly showing in his eyes. But he straightened himself out and bit his lip. "Get the fuck out of my way! Please!" he half yelled, trying to hide the worry in his voice. He glanced at the sky, hoping another flash wouldn't appear while he was outside. He quickly, walked past her, trying to not show any concern for the weather.
His last phobia attack consisted of him being outside. He was freaking out so badly he had actually forgotten how to breathe. That one did lead to an asthma attack. He ended up hiding in a rusty abandoned street car until morning when the car was being towed away. It was an extremely bad experience for him.
