Lance Valdis Scott
Night had taken over the bright sunshine of day. He walked on dark roads not caring where he was heading. His fingers took the cigarette out of his mouth to let the smoke twirl in the air. The cigarette went back into his mouth to be inhaled. Few people walked pass him not taking much notice of him, if one did turn his or her head Lance would simply glare at them. He wanted to be alone and smoke as he walked to no destination. His fingers once more held the cigarette and his lips partly opened so more smoke escaped. The grey cloud circled upward than vanished. This was his last butt he had on him so he took his time to finish it off.
He turned a corner onto a road deserted completely of human beings. A cat or two trotted across the road in quick movements afraid of coming cars. Lance watched the cat or cats scurry off before moving his legs again. His shoulders shrugged for no real purpose. Maybe he needed a bottle of beer to drain. One had in one pocket he searched if had money to use. All he felt were loose change not worth to buy anything with. A groan left his throat at the fact he could let liquid pass through his throat. Making up his mind, he was tired of walking nowhere and sat at the edge of the road.
Noises raised upon other streets but cared little about them. A car passed by him barely touching his legs. Due to his black leather coat the driver had not seen him and honked at Lance. In return Lance gave him the middle finger before throwing his small sized butt on the ground and smash it with his foot. Great, now he had nothing to smoke and nothing to drink. Of course he could go in a bar and try stealing other people's drinks, but tonight he didn't feel like talking or seeing strangers he didn't know get drunk and hang off him. Maybe later, now he needed to be alone for a while. Though being alone wasn't going to happen. Feet walked from behind him coming in his direction. He heard the person coming up behind him. With a rumbling sound in his throat he stared over his shoulder

Phillip walked on from his car that he had parked at the corner of the street. As he heard the song "Here comes the Snake" playing loudly from someone's car as two people talked over the music, he walked on. The music disappeared as he walked on further. He stopped to allow the cars to pass on by, one almost hit a young man who was flipping off at the car and he followed him.
He had seen him at the school and curiousity bought out the best of Phillip. Its a bad thing to do to come up onto the person but maybe he could help. It had looked like he was on his way or was going to think of going to one of the bars or nightclubs that lined the streets. He had some extra cash, perhaps the guy needed some?
He stopped not too far off, since he wanted to give him space then spoke as soon as he had reached him. "Hey," he began, that was when the guy turned to look at him over his shoulder, "care for a drink?" he was in the mood to help someone out and if the guy flip him off then well he'd return the favor and walk on. Maybe the guy needed a drink like he does?
Though he had just popped up he was still new here in this area, it was his first time to head out for a drink in the first place. Normally Phillip would stay at home looking over papers and just talk on the phone to Catherine and his mother then head out to go shopping and at night he'd be at his dorm exercising or checking his email. Sure he would get himself something to drink once in a while but it'd be at a coffee shop. He didn't have time to go and party at a nightclub however. Maybe he should after all he's working in a place where there's a lot of kids with problems. It'd be nice for some fun once in a while.

Lance Valdis Scott At first he just saw a human silhouette approaching closer to him. That figure came closer creating a growl deep within his throat. Lance forced himself to stare away and focus his eyes across the road. As he focused on something else his shoulders dropped into a sloppy posture making his elbows rest on his knees. If his aunt stood near by to see him this way she would have talked him into sitting straight until he got enough of her voice blabbering forever. He didn't care about her as he cared very little for other people. But someone did take notice of him. The footsteps coming from the human being paused in its tracks. He flinched. The bastard behind him bothered to say a word to him. Gritting his teeth together, the muscles in his back tensed up. Lance had wanted to be alone and still did. Bursting his bubble was not a clever idea. Slowly he turned his head around to stare up at the man standing behind him. Lips parted and teeth still pressured on one another, he wanted to spat cursed words out to get the man walking away. Though, a couple words from his opponent were enough to keep his darn mouth shut. A stranger had just asked him if he wanted something to drink. He remembered his longing for a bottle of beer. Eyes stared up at the man's own eyes in the dark night. For a second he stared away in another direction before standing up on his feet. His head stared down at his feet not too sure what words were worth saying. "Yeah sure. A drink would be fine," he said, finally saying anything that came to mind. That sentence came to one of those few ones he said without cursing or being rude. His hands shoved deep in his pockets as he turned on his heels feeling a little uneasy.[/size]
