Devon suffers from Peter Pan Syndrome ever since she was seven and got into a car accident and a part of her brain was damaged. So has her body grew and change, her mind stayed the age of a seven year old child. Making it hard to learn for her, but the doctors said that she would start to have the mind of a grown teenager in a few years, but Devon hasn't shown any signs of recovery.
Devon also suffers from SIV self-inflicted violence. She only started this around the age of ten, as it started out with the bitting of the nails, but grew to the skin and making bite marks to the extent of damage to the skin. Though It's more just bitting and doing self inflicted injuries with her teeth. It seems to be a compulsion/habit, but as far as Devon can tell she doesn't know better and thinks it natural for her.
Devon has the compulsion not to only cause damage to herself, but to others. She will if not being able to cause damage to herself. She will try to bite others or items such as tables, glass, and furniture. As long as there's something in her mouth(no pun intended). Though Lereyne will let Devon use her as a chew toy. So Devon doesn't go around eating others, but Lereyne can't be with Devon all the time.

Devon was born on may twenty-first in LA California. Her parents had already picked out their name hoping for a baby boy, but when Devon popped out and they saw a girl the name just stuck with her. After Devon was born the family moved to the suburbs when Devon's farther got a job promotion. Devon's mom working as a local school teacher. Devon grew up getting anything she wanted and everything on a silver plater. She was perfectly healthy to the doctors standards all the way up to the age of seven. When she was caught in a fatal car crash that damaged her brain.
The doctor said that her brain functions would heal over time, but she would have a slow time learning. Though by the age of fourteen her brain wasn't fully developed like other kids. Even at the age of fourteen she had the mind of a seven year old. She also had a knack for biting not only her self to the pint of damage, but others as well. Her parents didn't know what to do with her because her brain was suppose to develop a long time ago. Though this didn't stop Devon having friends she had plenty which introduced her Lereyne.
She was really attached to the hip with Lereyne and Lereyne adored her. So they started to go out and have been for at least two years. Even though Devon didn't know that the four year age difference was wrong. She thought everything was normal until her parents sent her to Stanfield to get her treatment because they thought this was just a habit and compulsion and needed to be cured.
