A loud yawn escaped from Ambrosia's wide open mouth as she scuffled her away into the library. "Miss!" Called out the librarian "Miss, You can't come in here without shoes." The blondie peeked down at her feet and gave her ruby-painted toes a wiggle. Slowly, she glanced over her shoulder and her stuck out her tongue out. A childish act indeed, but she didn't give a rat's ass. "Shutthefuckup." She muttered under her breath. The librarian's mouth dropped open, looking much like a fish gasping for air. Amber turned back around and scuffled on, deep into the maze of book shelves. Sleep eyes glanced over the the many signs that were taped to the side. 'Aa-Be', 'Be-Cy', 'Cy-Dl'. A long sigh suppressed from Amber's lips as she walked on, wishing so dearly that she could dive into the many pillows on her bed and curly up beneath the cozy sheets.
It had been a long day. Therapy consisted of jogging a dam mile through the forest and then two hours of dance class. Amber was exhausted. All she wanted now was to finish up her stupid research paper, munch on some late lunch, and head to snooze world. Maybe find me a joint before landing in La-la land, she thought to herself. Ambrosia ran her long fingers through her curly locks, an annoyed expression plastered on her face. Amber wasn't much of a reader, and she hated homework, especially if it consisted researching shit. Though she hated it, she always got it done. She was determined to get good grades, so that if she ever left this asylum, she could go to school and fulfill her dreams of becoming an Archaeologist.
Once Ambrosia reached the near back of the library, she took a turn into a section labeled 'NON-FICTION'. Her blue-gray orbs scanned over the many titles of the books. "There you are." She muttered, and pulled out a large book. She glanced over the cover, making sure it was the right one. World War II by William Lewis. With a satisfied nod, Ambrosia turned around on her heel and searched for an empty table. It didn't take long for her to find a seat. She slammed the book down upon the table with a loud 'SLAP'. The quite room was suddenly filled with "SHHHHH"s and "HUSH"s. Amber ignored them and ungracefully plopped down into the wooden chair. She slipped off her little bookbag, and pulled out a notepad along with a pencil. "Time to get this done." She grumbled.
