I Think I’m Coming OutAll the deceivers and cheaters- - - - - - - - - - > < - - - - - - -I think we’ve got a bleeder right now A puff of smoke went into the air before he threw it on the ground a stepped on it. Sure, it was the woods, but it'd be alright. He needed to smoke. And no one was with him to go against it. Plus, it felt good. You could see the sun going down into the trees. He could get his hands on a cigarette but on a beer bottle? He was going to make it happen. He could only survive so long and a stupid staff member got a hold of it last time. And what did they do when Craig fought back? Call security and they locked him up for a bit. So, he'd need a new plan. How could he be stupid enough to get caught?
Not even he knew.
He leaned against the tree, closing his eyes momentarily. He could go for another cig but he'd be okay for now. He didn't need to waste anymore. CJ thought this was probably one of the quietest places he's been in a while. But, he knew someone would come along. Of course someone would. So, he had a new idea. This one would definitely let him enjoy himself.
Turning around, he grabbed a hold of one of the branches. Pulling himself up, his foot caught hold of the tree and he plopped himself up into it. The tree could hold. It wasn't one of the tallest trees but the leaves hid his presence. He didn't plan on coming down for a while. Only problem was, something slipped off his neck. He felt his chest, searching for the chain. It was gone. He looked down, only to see in laying next the cigarette bud. "God dammit!" he yelled, agitated by the fact his chain slipped off of him. Favorite one too. He seemed to enjoy wearing them. But he wasn't going to jump back down to grab it. This time it seemed he wanted someone to come along just to throw it up to him.

* - - I'M CHASING TIME, ( looking for a beat, open your eyes )AND REPEAT AFTER ME. Making her way through the dense brush of the forest, Anna looked around her. Taking note that it was silent – just what she came out here for – a light smile made its way across her features. She could finally relax; drop her shield now that she was alone and out of that place. The quiet was calming, but this was Stanfield. She couldn’t be alone here, not anywhere. Some other crazy person would come around, tugging her out of her silence, just like always. Being alone never lasted long around here – too many kids wanted to be alone for it to be possible for any long amount of time. Or maybe people just didn’t like to leave Anna alone. This was Anna’s view, of course – people just couldn’t leave her alone.
As the more lengthy and ever-so-bothersome weeds tickled her bare legs, Anna glared down at them. She was edgy, and in desperate need of a drink. But, of course, she didn’t have anything at the moment. The staff at Stanfield tends to keep the alcohol away from those alcoholics, which was what Anna was technically here for. That didn’t mean that she didn’t have any other problems – she had plenty. But they were more of the results of a tragic event rather than a reason to be locked up in an asylum. Even more reason for her to drink. She would have to find something to give her a buzz today, it was a must. Even if she ended up in solitary confinement – it would probably be worth it. It depended on a few factors, obviously.
Continuing to make her way around the forest, Anna locked her eyes on the brush beneath her feet. She didn’t want to trip due to some random branch that was in her way, especially not when she was completely sober, even if no one was around. Noticing something lying on the forest ground about ten feet away, Anna locked her charcoal gray eyes on the mysterious item and started towards it at her leisurely pace. Seeing that it was a necklace, a very familiar one at that, she looked around for a short minute, not seeing any signs of another’s presence. Noticing a cigarette butt, she still had no clue whose necklace it was. Too many people smoked around here for her to be able to distinguish who was the owner of the cigarette and the necklace. Bending over to pick it up, she flipped the cross over a few times, just feeling the texture of it.

He didn't want to attract too much attention so if just one person could help him out, that'd be great. When he heard the soft foot steps, he felt as if he'd be saved. He stared down, sitting on the branch while swinging his legs back and forth. He needed to get her attention. But, how? What would be the perfect way? He could try shaking the branch but what if he fell with the leaves? Or, he could just simply yell down to her. That could work. But, he didn't want to draw any ones attention but hers.
"Sps! Sppppps! Hey," he whispered, but too quietly for her to hear. Whoa, what the hell was she doing? She didn't need to examine the thing. It was his and whatever was on it was his business. She was putting too many of her filthy hands on his necklace-chain thing. Great. That's just perfect. For all he knew this chick could have just come back from doing some sort of sexual activity. But, she didn't look the type so reassuring himself, he had nothing like that to worry about.
"Hey, chica, look up!" He whispered yet again a bit louder, but still barely audible. Irritated that he wasn't sure of the right tone of voice to not attract too much attention, he got a better idea. Yes, this would be extremely wasteful but the chain was worth it. Pulling out his pack of Newport Lights, he tipped them over. It was directly on top of her and she'd be sure to feel them hit her, or at least go down by her. The only non smart move about this was the fact that he'd probably still have to talk to her.
He sighed, hoping this would get her attention. To climb all the way back down would be a pain. He'd probably end up jumping but just imagining the shock to his knees seemed painful.
She appeared to be someone higher up in the chain. While he was probably one of the lowest, she seemed like she'd look good with the musicians, or no, something higher. Probably the populars. Which meant she was some dim lit fool who was probably nothing more than a sex addict.

* - - I'M CHASING TIME, ( looking for a beat, open your eyes )AND REPEAT AFTER ME. As Anna kept a loose grip on the chain, she tried to think of where she had seen it. She couldn't just leave the thing here - even if the person probably did deserve it, whoever they were. Half the people in this place were complete assholes, but she still didn't just want to leave it here, considering someone else would probably come around and snatch it up to keep for themselves. Anna wanted this to be back in the hands of its rightful owner. It might mean something to them – it probably did, actually. It was a nice chain, really. This person should be grateful that she was the one to find it, rather than someone who was completely messed up. All that she had was a little addiction, and it wasn’t even drugs. She was probably the sanest person locked up in that miserable place.
Anna kept thinking that she heard something, she wasn’t certain of what, though. It wasn’t exactly the crunch of a leaf, the snap of a twig or the call of some animal. It was soft, quiet, whatever it was. Each time she looked around for the reason of the noise, the owner of those soft undertones of a whisper, she couldn't find it. Feeling something drop on her, she jumped in surprise. "Dear God!"
she yelled as she looked up, into the tree. Seeing a boy perched on a branch, she glared at him. "What was that about?" she questioned, not bothering to lower her voice. Looking down at the necklace in her hand, she held it up inquisitively. "Oh, is this yours?" she asked, smirking up at him while she raised an eyebrow. "You should seriously come down here and get it, I mean, I could be some klepto, just ready to slip this into my pocket and run," she told him, teasing. It was true, though. In Stanfield, you never knew - there were plenty of kleptomaniacs in that place. There had to be, considering it was an asylum. There were people with far worse problems than just a measly case of kleptomania. "Good for you, I'm not," she assured, rolling her eyes. "How do you expect to get it?" she questioned. Anna couldn't really get a good look at the boy - but from what she could tell, he looked like he was cute, not that it really mattered. He seemed familiar, but she couldn't place a name or what clique he would hang around with... And even if he was cute, Anna could control herself, most of the time. Well, at least when it came to sex. That was one thing that she wasn't addicted to either, even if she absolutely loves sex. There's a difference, isn't there? He grimaced. She was ridiculous! What made her think he wanted to go all the way down there? But, if she wanted him down there, fine, he'd go down there. Forget this whole no attracting attention thing. He'd go down there for sure. Oh, and if hell wasn't ready for him, neither was she. Though, from the way she stood, she seemed a bit...tougher than other girls. But probably as obedient as the other chicks looking to share their STD's. So, he smirked and started to climb down. Once getting to the starting branch, he jumped.
Landing on his feet, an immediate shock went through his feet and straight to his knees. He ignored it though and looked at the chica, staring brutally with that smirk still planted on his face. "I'll take it by force if you really were some bitchy klepto with no life. Seems like you are one so maybe I should be careful, " he commented, smirk now gone from his face. What the heck was a "klepto" anyways? Another word for thief? Whatever. He didn't need to know. No one told him he had to know those type of words. Just because he was 19 didn't mean he had to have a high vocabulary. All the morons in the world with children can barely even teach their child their homework lesson. So he was a nice little exception.
Leaning against the tree while waiting for a response, he was about two seconds away from taking the chain out of her hand and just walking away. But he was holding back..luckily. He wanted so badly to just hit her for her to get away from him. He wasn't even sure why! The only thing he could guess was because of the smart alec remark. Making him come down here like she was in command. His temper was high today.
Looking towards the ground, of course his cigarettes went to waste. He really should have thought a bit more before he used that to get her attention. Especially when he got stuck coming down here anyways.

* - - I'M CHASING TIME, ( looking for a beat, open your eyes )AND REPEAT AFTER ME. Anna was a tough girl, if you wanted to call her that. She was independent, sure. She always stood up for herself, not trusting anyone else to. It was just respectable to fight your own battles, and Anna surely wasn’t going to sit around waiting for some prince in shining armor to swoop in and fight for her, and save the day. It wasn’t going to happen, in the first place, so why wait for something that would never happen? Anna was strong, and always told herself that no one else would be able to save her like she could save herself. No one could fix her if she couldn’t fix herself. No one could fight for her if she could fight for herself. It was simple, really.
As he actually came down from his perch on the tree, Anna was surprised. She didn’t really think that he would come down, considering she had been kidding about that part. She was willing to throw the thing up to him, but this worked too. Less work on her part this way. At his expression, Anna just raised an eyebrow in question. "Right, right. Big tough guy,"
she said, assessing his stance, his style, and his expression. He was definitely someone who thought that he was tough. Anna was curious to see if he really was tough, or if it was just an act, a front that he put before the world, a shield that protected him like she had. ”And I don’t have a stealing problem, thank you very much," she continued. "But I am a bitch, I won’t deny that fact." Anna laughed darkly at that, throwing the chain in the air before catching it again with her other hand. "And everyone in this place has no life, it’s just how it goes," It was the truth. How could you have a life when you were locked away in a place as dark as this one was? You couldn’t. Anna’s life was on hold until she was out of this place. Looking back down at the chain, she debated on just giving the chain to him. Anna decided to wait, considering she just wanted to see how he reacted, still wanting to know if he was actually a tough guy, or just another fake that was running around this aggravating place.
