It was a slow process taking in every nook and cranny the asylum possessed. Her dorm room was the one place she had deemed her haven when needed, but she knew the more she explored the more comfortable with the layout she would be. The people that inhabited it was a completely different story. Though, October didn't worry about it too much. Deep down, she believed that everyone had good within them, if not always good intentions. That's what helped her with interactions. Not only was she excluded because she had been diagnosed with Dissociative Personality Disorder, but also because her eyesight was completely gone. No vision since birth.
October continued to walk around until she felt something scrape across the back of her hand. With a deep intake of breath, the very faint smell of blooming flowers consumed her. It was disappointing to know that she was so far away from the wonderful scent, that something else was more dominant over it. Like a group of flowers that were taken care of, but the rest had been left to rot. That was one reason why she wished she could see, at least for a moment. To see what people call colors. Shapes and texture she could feel from the flower, the scent and the taste, but the colorization of them would complete the uniquness of that plant.
"Oh October! Could we go by the flowers? I want to smell it!" Rose exclaimed suddenly, catching both October's body and mind off guard. The shiver of excitement and curiousity was overwhelming and almost made her lose her footing. "Oh dear. I'm sorry. Rose, don't sneak up on October like that. With all that energy it's dangerous." Debrah was always the motherly type toward Rose and was the one who laid down the rules and punishments for Hansen. Surprisingly, he was being more quiet today. "Hansen's just a little slow today. Oh the men these days. So lazy an-" "Shut the hell up you old bat! I'm just thinkin' is all. Why you got to go babbling so early in the mornin' anyway?!"
Hansen raised October's arms and rubbed her tempals like he always did in the morning. It was a sign of a headache coming on, and boy did it strike. October took in a sharp, deep breath and clutched her chest tightly. They were becoming more and more demanding on October mentality, even physically. Only on certain occasion can she have more control over them, than them over her. Throughout October's life she was going to have to continue the battle. The crunch of a dead leaf snapped her head toward the right. Someone had just entered the garden. Friend or enemy, she didn't know.

Elly Set down her notebook full of stories, poems and other writings down and looked out the window of the library. It was actually quiet for once in the two story library which was a blessing to the tiny girl. Though the occasional drug deal occurred and also the more often nerdy boy walked past with some sort of book. She was happy. A smile was plastered upon her face as she continued to look out and try to find something interesting. A bird flew by and nearly hit a window. Elly frowned and fingered her book; it wasn't as exciting as she had hoped for. "Jeez...you'd think something or someone would pop up. A sigh escaped her lips while she picked up her book once again. Legs curled up tight into the chair she picked up her pen and continued her jotting of ideas and her feelings. If anyone were to find and leaf through the book they would practically know the girl to a 'T'.
The feeling in her writing hand was going out with how hard she was pressing down and how fast she was writing. It was a habit of hers when she got really into her writing she would end up forgetting that her mind went faster than her hand. Elly looked down at the smeared writing; being left handed did have many disadvantages. Elly rolled her eyes and fixed the words that were nearly impossible to read then looked over it. Not bad since she had only been writing for about five hours. She unwrapped herself from her curled up state and stretched out. A boy who wasn't paying attention tripped over her outlaying feet and fell to the floor. "Oof!" "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to trip you-I was stretching and-"Face going red she was caught off by the popular looking boy as he sneered at her. "Watch it, girly. You're lucky I don't beat you for that." Elly's eye twitched, she should have never told him she was sorry. Mind racing with ideas she stuck with one that was common. With a swift move of her leg she managed to get him back on the ground seething in pain. With a quick and curt nod she grabbed her stuff and headed outside. How dare he treat a lady as such; one that was even apologizing to him. The sound of him fuming was a great feeling to Elly as she walked out to the garden.
The girl walked calmly from the gardening shed where she placed her stuff in a hide-a-way and collected her weeding bucket. She wasn't at all sure if she was going to weed or not but it was always good to carry a bucket around just in case; you never know what it could be used for. A hum escaped her lips as she walked along the familiar path but stopped when a voice came to her ears. What in the world would October be doing out here? Elly thought but continued forward. She didn't want to scare the girl but she knew that to get October's attention she'd have to do something. Flipping her hair slightly she took in a breath before getting close enough to hear Hansen's voice but also stepped on a crunchy leaf that snapped. The girl tripped forward to see October and laughed slightly. "Sorry to intrude on you four. Do you mind if I join in on the party?" Elly asked with a smile.
