Jackie readjusted her Hufflepuff tie as she knocked on the door of Jaden’s office. She was early to their one on one therapy session but that was the way Jaden liked it. She felt comfortable with him able to speak about her past that haunted her, even with the medication, if she remembered to take it that is. Holding onto her replica of Hermione’s wand tightly, her fragile hand grabbed onto the stainless steel handle and pushed down, opening the door and peeked in. “Hello?” Her voice trembled not waiting for the reply and entered cautiously before closing the door. The room was dim, which was new, usually the florescent lights hurt her eyes and she squinted entering the amp office with the typical leather chairs and diplomas nailed on the wall.
This time around it was extremely comfortable and Jackie took her usual seat on the leather couch, right hand corner, pulled her legs up hugging her them and placing her chin upon her knees. Her fake wand still held with a life threatening grip. Tapping herself softly with it she muttered “protego” weak smile forming on the corners of her chapped lips thinking she now had a protective shield around her. With a twitch she hugged herself tightly again “I know what I have to tell him” she argued with the voice in her head, “Nobody believes me that Isabella is a Death Eater and the house elves are now working for the Darklord.” The smile disappeared quickly; brown eyes scanned the dim room to see if there were any unwanted guests.
“I KNOW YOU”RE THERE…LEAVE ME ALONE” out of the corner of her eye and the voice in her head telling her there was a house elf, she pointed her wand and running down the list of spells that she knew by memory, screamed out the one she thought was most affective, “STUPEFY!” Pulling herself onto the couch, she screamed bloody murder, flicking her wand into the air screaming fictional words to something that was not there, but to the teenager it was very real and she was scared for her life. “Don’t make me use the unforgiveable please” she begged the voice to say the words that would do absolutely nothing to the average normal human. Usually, Jackie was perfectly fine, one would think she was normal and it was a total mistake that she was in there, if she took her medication for a long period of time. As of late, she had refused to take them and her fears rushing back like a gust of wind slapping you in the face.
“Yea that’s right…and don’t come back!”
Then complete quiet. She just sat there emotionless and one would need to see her chest expand to realize she was breathing. One minute happy, the next freaking out and the next not moving, the normal life of a hallucinating bi-polar schizo. This was her third session with Jaden Michael White. He was only five years older than her but in these crazy girls eyes he was just like the rest of them. Jackie felt comfortable talking to Jaden about her passions, her obsession with Harry Potter and thinking she was in St. Mungos, but she did not open up completely, lying as much as she could to not tell him the complete truth. She was frightened of opening up and allow another person she trusted abandon her like her parents and the love of her life. Keep everyone at an arm’s length and she will not get hurt, or that was her plan.
The one person Jackie had trusted, her whole life revolved around him and yet he left her to be with someone else. That was the final breakdown for Jacqueline and her she was two years later, not getting better and with her seventh therapist everyone else giving up on her and she knew she was a lost cause. Trapped in her illusional world, spiraling down not able to stick her head out for air. She lost track of the times she had attempted to end her nightmare of a life and now the voices were making her hear Talin as well, thinking he was part of her illusions as well, drugged up in the corner of the common area keeping to himself. She never dared speak to him for it had just started a week ago and not telling Jaden was the best thing, or so she thought. .
